Tokyo Summer Food Vibes
Japan in the summertime is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, the festivals, food, and flowers make it incredible, but the heat can nearly melt you away! There is only one way to survive, and I've got the recipe right here: enjoy large amounts of shaved ice, cheap popsicles, and cool watermelon. Listen for the delicate glass chimes, twinkling in the wind. Light your mosquito coils and have King Kogi guard you as you enjoy the balmy evenings. Don't forget to take one tall glass of plum wine (umeshu) on the rocks, with a splash of soda water. If you enjoy all these small things, you can build a ladder at a rapid pace. -xo Martina
