Martina Sazunic

👩🏻‍🦳 Welcome! I’m Martina, creator of the King Kogi YouTube community.

I was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Asia in 2008. First to South Korea, and then to Japan. I love exploring food culture all over the world.

For the past 15 years I’ve been running my own business online where I create, design, and produce content, focused on food, travel and exploring off-the-beaten path locations.

With my years of food and travel knowledge, I started publishing and selling modern travel guides and itineraries with interactive digital maps.

As I was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, representation for the disabled, chronically ill, and invisible illness community is part of my life. “Build A Ladder” is a mantra I created to help those of us who struggle to push on, despite our daily difficulties.

I try to promote positive creativity through sharing recipes and making cooking videos, creating vibey music, and focusing on the small but happy little things life has to offer.

King Kogi

👑🐷 King Kogi is named after my faithful travel pig, Kogi. I bought him in 2008 while living in Bucheon, Korea.

He has been a literal table for my iPad to rest on while I traveled and doodled, so I guess you could say, many of my designs came off the back of his soft, squishy support.

The Airship

A fictional concept I created to describe traveling through life.

There are no motors, the Airship simply goes with the flow. King Kogi and Captain Martina float through unusual galaxies around the world, facing challenges but also seeing wonderful things.

The online YouTube community joins us on this voyage as passengers, crewmates, and explorers.
